The Bucks Start Here!
Dear Parents,
Welcome to a new school year! For many of you this will be the first time you have experienced your child being in school! It is a little scary to entrust your most valuable possession in the hands of strangers, so I want to assure you that we have a very dedicated and loving staff. I would trust them with my own children!
Class assignments will be posted on the marquee in front of the school on Friday, August 15. Assignments will not be given out over the phone.

You are invited to join us for “meet the teacher” night on Thursday, August 21 at 5:00. We will gather in the cafeteria for a short meeting. We will serve cookies and a cool drink at this time! We ask that refreshments are enjoyed in the cafeteria only! You may also purchase lunch tickets at this time.
The first day of school will be Monday, August 25 at 8:00 a.m. It is important to have your child here at 8:00. 1st graders will gather in the gym and all other students meet in the cafeteria. Instruction will begin promptly at 8:15. Students arriving late will disrupt the learning of others and they will feel left out, also.

The best start of the day begins after a restful night and a calm morning! I encourage you to do the following:
- early bedtime with a bedtime story
- select clothes for the next day the night before
- start the day off on a positive and encouraging note.
Our goal is to provide the opportunity for you and your child to have a wonderful experience at East Elementary. My door is open for any concern you have.
