School Health Advisory Council
SHAC is an advisory group of individuals who represent different segments of our community and school. The BISD School Health Advisory Council meets twice each year to discuss areas of health education curriculum. They make recommendations to the Board of Trustees on issues concerning school health. The committee approves of the coordinated school health program, consult with the Superintendent or designee concerning issues, concerns, reports, and recommendations to the Board of Trustees, and consult with the district in the development of a comprehensive health education curriculum.
