Bridge tentatively opens January 11, 2024

January 5, 2024, Update: US 180 Bridge at Hubbard Creek Reservoir, Stephens County

TxDOT’s contractor had a successful concrete pour today. TxDOT will monitor the concrete daily until it reaches full compressive strength to safely open the bridge to traffic. Estimated cure time is between four to seven days. Target concrete cure time is four days.

It could take the contractor two days after the concrete has fully cured to open the bridge to traffic. This timeframe allows all items to be removed from the bridge for a safe opening for traffic by January 11, 2024, weather permitting.

Breckenridge ISD has formed a Long-Range Facilities Planning Committee to study our recent facilities assessments and help determine our plans for future projects, buildings, and facilities. See the BISD Facilities Planning page below.

Our next facilities committee meeting will be in conjunction with a special Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 6:00PM in Bailey Auditorium at Breckenridge High School.
