NEXT PEP RALLY 11/07/25 SENIOR CELEBRATION

The Pep Rallies this year have been excellent, and the Homecoming Pep rally was especially strong and Buckaroo-Riffic, so Great Job, Ladies! The next opportunity to come together will be on Friday, November 7, 2025 at LT Cook at 12:00 PM where the theme will be Western Senior Pep Rally. That evening, the Bucks take-on the San Angelo TLC Eagles, so let's join forces and ramp up our Green & White Grit, Celebrating Our Seniors! Go, Bucks, Go!

Please Be Sure To Utilize BISD Online Calendars: The Buckaroo & Bronco Weekly Calendar breaks down events, Pre-K thru 12th Grade, as best we can from all corners of the school district. This will include ticketing links, Google Map directions, ads for various upcoming events, and anything else we can locate that will potentially be of service to our Buckaroo and Bronco Community. We also maintain an across-all-campuses calendar simply called Combined Campus Calendars. This has a large amout of information loaded by each campus and placed together in one central location, which can be really helpful when planning busy schedules across more than one campus. November Thanksgiving Feasts at BISD Cafeterias

The BISD November cafeteria menus are in the works and will be posted the weekend before our first week of school in November. Please join your child or teenager at this year’s Thanksgiving Feasts: East Elementary Campus on Tuesday, November 4th; Junior High/High School on Tuesday, November 11th, and at South Elementary on Tuesday, November 18th. These fellowship opportunities are during regular lunch times. We Hope To See You There!

District Weekly Video Announcements

BISD Online Video Announcements for the Week of Monday, 10/27/25 thru Saturday, 11/01/25: Veteran Video Hosts, Lindsay Otts & Shaley Cone, take us into and through Red Ribbon Week. Both the Lady Broncos and Lady Buckaroos have completed their volleyball seasons, and at the end of this week on Saturday, the Lady Bucks launch their first basketball scrimmage at home. There's a PSAT/NMSQT opportunity for Juniors on Wednesday, Trunk or Treat at East Elementary on Thursday, and a full slate of football games versus Sweetwater on Thursday and Friday. Excellent job, Shaley & Lindsay, and Thank You, Video Production Team. Go, Bucks & Broncos!

Please join us for the Breckenridge High School Buckaroo Junior Varsity District 3-3A Football Game vs. Sweetwater High School Junior Varsity Mustangs with a 5:00 PM Kickoff at Buckaroo Stadium on Thursday, 10/30/25 - Livestream Begins 4:30 PM - Go, Bucks! The Varsity Buckaroos do not play at home again until their last game of the season, which takes place on Friday, November 7th, 2025, and that will also be Senior Night! They will go up against the San Angelo TLCA Eagles with a 7:00 PM Kickoff. Senior Night will take place about 6:35 PM followed by the FFA Flag Raising Ceremony.

BISD Utilizes ParentSquare for Direct Family Communication

Our district uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text, and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically syncs with PowerSchool to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified. ParentSquare is a safe, secure, and modern approach to communication and collaboration between school and home.

  • On the app, enter your email or cell phone number. The email and/or cell phone number should match what is in the school's information system (PowerSchool) or database.

    On the web, click ‘Sign In’, then under ‘Register’ section, put your email or phone number and click '“Go”.

    If the email or phone number is not recognized by ParentSquare, parents can follow directions to request access or call the school office and ask them to update the contact information.

  • ParentSquare allows users to customize their notifications based on notification type and select their preferred delivery method for each school. The Instant setting will send all post notifications in real-time. The Digest setting sends direct messages, alerts, and time-sensitive posts instantly, but sends all non-time sensitive posts at the end of the day, reducing the number of notifications you receive daily. (We recommend the Digest setting.) Learn more about notification settings.

  • Yes. All parents have a ParentSquare account. ParentSquare is the primary tool for district and school communication. Individuals who do not activate their account in ParentSquare will still receive an email digest at the end of each day that communication is sent out to them. In the event of emergencies, phone calls will be sent as well.

  • Parents can update their language preference for their account. Once they have done this, ParentSquare will automatically translate any communication to them in their selected language. This translation will also occur when the parent sends a message to a staff member. Learn more about ParentSquare translations and how to set the language preference.
